Having traded quite a number of houses over recent years, my experience of utilising the services of real estate agents has been a mixed one. Most of us want to ensure that the agents we engage are genuinely working in our interests, that we can trust them and given the extent to which they enter our lives for a period, that we can like them and relate to them. Anita and Tony are amongst the best agents I’ve engaged. They are consultative, respectful, good-natured and the most genuine people you’ll meet in real estate. My family and I entrusted to Anita and Tony, the sale of our North Avoca beach-front holiday home that we built 37 years ago. The home had never been leased and was regularly enjoyed by five generations of our family. Our North Avoca home has been central to so many wonderful times and unforgettable experiences, the thought of parting with this special place was unbearable. Understandably being such an emotional relinquishment, the agents who would be invited to assist us with the sale needed to comprehend and respect the significance of the conclusion of this part of our family history. We didn’t have to sell. We ultimately chose to sell – knowing the timing was in the best interests and right for our life-stage. We sounded out four agencies in total. Ultimately, we narrowed down our selection to Anita and Tony at Avoca and the leading agency based in Terrigal. The principal of the leading agency was charismatic, well-credentialed and enthusiastic for the sale. When we decided that Anita and Tony would be best resourced to market and sell our home, I explained my reasons for the decision to the principal of the leading agency. The self-righteous indignation and abuse I received from this arrogant person confirmed we’d made the right decision. Some agents approach a prospective listing as a birth-right! Anita and Tony respected the sensitivity of our letting go and it was this respect that make them the stand-out choice for agents in this golden strip of the Central Coast. I recommend them without hesitation and with the greatest respect for their dedication and regard.
